Mark-this is Mariah McArthur from the mission, I ran across your blogsite on facebook so I thought I would check it out. I just ran my first real race a couple weeks ago, it was a 1/2 marathon down in St. George. It was really awesome and such a great feeling of accomplishment, so I say go for the gold with your triathlon, nothing will feel better than doing that. I can really swim or else I would consider doing it too! Maybe I should take lessons. Anyways, sounds like you are doing great.

I meant I can't really swim :)

Mark, that's so good that you're looking for those "positions" (haha) because in my experience, small as it may be, it always helps when you're accountable to someone else with goals like yours. Consistency is key.

I would totally be your running buddy if my tendinitis wasn't still rampant. :( If you need technique tips, I can give you those though!

I long for the day when I can run again; I'll let you know when it happens :)

Mariah: Congrats on the 1/2 marathon! I've always enjoyed water sports but I've never done any distance swimming before, so we'll see how I do. I do know that you're good on a bike, I still remember very clearly you and Star down in Texas riding your bikes with your dresses on. That was impressive.

Kwistin: I think by the time I'm ever able to keep up with you running you're tendinitis will be more than healed. As for tips on technique, all I know is that i put one foot in front of the other as fast as I can. besides that I'm a complete beginner. So any tips would be very welcomed!

Thanks for your support guys. You're awesome!
